Together We Can End The Two Year Recession Without Government Help

Together We Can End The Two Year Recession

Los Angeles, CA - September 15, 2010 This week marks the two year anniversary of the start of the worst economic recession since The Great Depression. Currently there are 14.9 millions of Americans out of work, with an estimated 14 million more Americans considered underemployed. Many of these jobless workers are choosing to exit the corporate world to become entrepreneurs in their own business. However, the SBA reported that in 2009 there were 60,800 small businesses that declared bankruptcy. Based on the first quarter 2010, we are on track to come close to the 2009 failures.

With these statistics in mind, West Coast-based startup company TheViralPublicity.com is launching a community-supported initiative to organically help build small business one company at a time without use of government funds.

TheViralPublicity.com hosts unique business-to-business networking events that incorporate social media tools to create a community environment in which local companies can help one another to increase sales. At live events throughout the country, the events will have proactive "connectors" to help businesses introduce themselves so each company will have an opportunity to share resources. Business owners will also be coached in the use of social media (LinkedIN, Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Digg) to expand their market and build their reputation. At the same time, organizers will create video interviews with guests to promote each business. The video will then be placed on the Youtube.com/viralpublicy channel for the purpose of continuing the networking online.

The next San Francisco-Bay Area event will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (PT) at The Fahrenheit Lounge and Restaurant, 99 E. San Fernando Street, San Jose, CA 95113.

Putting the current political debates about the economy aside, TheViralPublicity.com is on a mission to help small- to mid-sized businesses increase sales by networking with one another to share resources and contacts. Edwin Duterte, CEO of The Viral Publicity, says, "No matter what political party you belong to, we need to band together as a community and 'Pay It Forward' by giving each business the highest chance to survive. Together, we can beat the recession without waiting for the intervention of government."

"The way this organization uses social media that continues to foster networking even after their live event is amazing", says Philip Dahlheimer of Grover Labs. "I have attended these events since earlier this summer, promoting my designer soap business. Not only have I been able to get introduced to great people, I've continued to reconnect with them by sharing the video mini-commercial The Viral Publicity made for my company and using the social media techniques I picked up at the event. The Viral Publicity events take business networking to a whole new level."
